Adrian's drum

I just finished drilling the holea for the hardware and cutting the bearing edges. Tomorrow starts the finishing.

Shaped

The two shells are cut, shaped and one is routed for inlays.

Parts ready

Next thing I need before I can move on, is parts. Anyone want to fund the remainder of the build...?

It's not Playskool...

But, here is the start of - My First Bass :)
So far all the wood has been left over from a previous job, found, or donated... Flame Cherry top and headstock, African Mahogany body, Jatoba neck. It looks a bit Picasso-ish right now, but will get cut out soon to a more pleasing shape. I have the rosewood for the fretless neck ready too.

Light bases

These are adapters for mounting the HID strand lights into the patio cover. They're made from copper pipe. I cut open another pipe and flattened the walls to make my own bases for soldering on.

Wooden Seatpost

I needed a new seatpost for my bike. Couldn't find any I like at the local stores... So, I thought I'd make my own...

18 - 8

Just changed my bike from 18 speeds to 8 speeds by dropping the largest and the smallest gears. Removed the de-railer and shifter too. I'll probably get a larger ring gear later to compensate for the lost top end. For now though, i'm using the middle gear. I had to cut the mounting hole ears out of the outer gear to use as spacers so I could use the same mounting location, and hardware. It works really smooth like, and won't even need a new chain stay.

Another coat of finish

Just applying a third coat of finish to these new crutches. Or are they giant salad tongs...?

Lots of glue-ups

Glue-ups for library shelves. This many panels means lots of time with a router flush trimming the edges.
